Whether or not this was intended, you can bet your ass that the cunts who run the central banks, the IMF and the World Bank have been planning to use a pandemic as an opportunity to rip-off the people in the countries with their own natural resources, because the dollars they're printing right now aren't worth shit without a population of poor people without access to decent education, who will therefore be forced to exchange their resources for worthless credit in central banks which should have folded over a decade ago. This is an interesting discussion. What most people don't realise is that capitalism as we practice it now wastes 99.9% of the human and material resources we currently use. Once you realise that, the problems raised by the idea of gift or resource-based economies become much more tractable.
