The interesting thing is that we only really understand herd-immunity as a statistical phenomenon. So nobody can explain how or why it works, but statisticians can explain how we know it a real thing, and that it is in fact the only way any epidemic ends.

This is an interesting discussion. What most people don't realise is that capitalism as we practice it now wastes 99.9% of the human and material resources we currently use.
